Terramed Alliance News Pink Ribbon Challenge
“We are always overwhelmed by the amazing level of support for the cause shown by our communities in Breast Cancer ACTION Month- we are excited to join with them to see what they will accomplish in 2009!” says Fiona Lewis, Fundraising Manager.
“The Pink Ribbon Challenge is great because it is achievable for anyone. Whether you are nine or ninety, you can TAKE ACTION this October and raise funds and awareness about a disease that affects over 2,500 New Zealand women diagnosed each year and countless families and loved ones.”
The Pink Ribbon Challenge centres around the number ‘9′ because it is such an important number for NZBCF. 1 in 9 New Zealand women have a lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer, the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal, The Foundation’s largest fundraising event is October 9 in 2009.
Some FUNdraising ideas: Get sponsored to cut out the coffee for 9 days, Get together with the girls and walk 90km collectively, raise $900, lose 9 kgs over 9 weeks, Run 9km in a silly pink outfit – the sky is the limit!

why do English legal documents get tied up with PINK ribbon ?
I’am just looking for the reason why the ribbon is always pink .
Pink is faded red…
“pink tape is used to tie up bundles of legal papers, these days mainly for sending papers to Counsel (barristers). Green tape – same material dyed green is used to sew up documents and black is/was used for wills/probate papers.”
