How many miles the average person walking on a golf course sized?
Im just curious and want to know how many miles do we walk while playing golf on a golf course of average size. Has anyone used a pedometer for playback. (I think that's the name of the thing that measures your steps). Just curious …
I used a pedometer a few years ago. It measured about 15,000 steps, which corresponds to about 6 or 7 miles. The course is usually about 6500 to 7000 meters, which corresponds to 3.5 to 4 miles. But only measures to the teeing ground amid the greenery in the middle of the fairway. that in real life, most players walk to the left or right, you sometimes pass green, you walk forward to find your next move. You'll hardly ever walk in a straight line in the middle of the fairway. Besides all that, you have to walk from from green to next tee box. This can easily be anywhere from 50 to 200 meters, which could add more than one mile to your foot total.
